This call for tenders concerns the provision of consultancy services to the UPU for the conduct of a study tentatively entitled “Study on understanding and enabling postal microfinance capabilities” (hereinafter referred to as the “study”). The aim of the study is three-fold:
a. Increase the knowledge and legitimacy around postal microfinance service options and models regulations available on the market in order to better scope and support designated operators through future technical assistance programs.
b. Identify postal networks that demonstrate a real need and potential for technical assistance in deploying or scaling microfinance programs and the impacts this will deliver to designated operators, postal users, ecosystem partners and to the national digital access priority advancement.
c. Demonstrate to the public and private sector the tangible social and financial inclusion value of supporting postal networks in deploying or scaling microfinance programs.
