The network is an important global asset of inclusion for SME and citizens.
Digital transformation is a strategic priority for Posts to be relevant.
UPU is assisting Posts worldwide to implement new technologies to adapt to customer demands – IPS, IFS, CDS, and .POST.
An ICT enabled Postal network is an essential contributor to achieving the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
Recently UPU has launched Ecom@Africa with the following values:
- Universality: national, regional and global reach
- Inclusion: inclusive access to e-commerce for buyers and sellers (SMEs)
- Openness: initiative welcomes public–private partnerships
- Sustainability: UN Sustainable Development Goals as a reference framework
