Financial inclusion projects sponsored through the Japan Fund

The UPU, in collaboration with Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), is pleased to announce grants under the Japan Fund, to support member countries in their efforts to advance financial inclusion. The International Bureau is now inviting designated operators to apply for a financial grant to support their financial inclusion projects in the area of digital financial services.

The projects are envisioned to focus on enhancing postal digital financial service offerings, to serve the financial needs of the unbanked, underbanked and vulnerable populations with a focus on microfinance. The application form and eligibility criteria are provided below. All completed applications should be sent to FITAF@upu.int by 27 October 2023 at the latest.
