As key element of the UPU's mission, development cooperation supports countries in their efforts to develop the postal sector and ensure the strengthening of universal postal service as well as the modernization of the offer of value-added postal services to meet customers’ and citizens’ expectations
Addressing Assistance to Countries
The UPU’s addressing capacity-building activities aim to assist countries in designing and implementing national addressing and postcode projects that integrate the most advance technologies, to assist in postal decision-making processes and improve the quality of postal operations.
Easy Export
The programme aims at developing a simplified and harmonized export service for MSMEs by using the postal infrastructure.
Emergency and Solidarity Fund
The UPU has also set up an Emergency and Solidarity Fund, which provides emergency assistance to revive postal activity in affected areas.
Financial Inclusion Technical Assistance Facility
The UPU's Financial Inclusion Technical Assistance Facility (FITAF) will provide Posts with the means necessary to fill this gap through the development of digitized postal financial services.
Quality of Service Fund
The Fund finances projects aimed at improving the quality of inbound letter-mail flows, making national postal services and international mail flows more speedy, reliable and secure.
