A recent collaborative project between the UPU and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has demonstrated that postal networks can serve as sustainable infrastructure, contributing significantly to global sustainability objectives.

The case study titled "Infrastructure for Circularity in the French Postal Sector" examines how La Poste France, as a publicly owned and mission-driven company, is transforming its operations through an integrated circular approach. This transformation involves making their processes more environmentally friendly, influencing the broader value chain, and diversifying their services to create new revenue streams. This study will be of special interest to those engaged in the green transformation of the postal sector, as well as to stakeholders focused on broader environmental policy issues.
