The first certification scope available in the UPU-TechCert portfolio is the certification of technical integration with the UPU-IP API. (Discover UPU-IP)
The UPU Interconnection Platform (UPU-IP) enables near real-time exchange of PPS-related messages between designated operators (DOs) and -from 2025- WPSP connected to the network. The UPU-IP provides application-programming interfaces (APIs) for network participants to interface with their national system, a technical set-up that allows instant payments all the way to the point of sale, in compliance with the UPU Postal Payment Services Agreement and the values of thePosTransfer trademark.
Under this particular certification, the UPU will welcome IT providers active in particular with:
- AML/CFT compliance tools
- Mobile payments/cashless transactions
- For cash payments: front-end solutions to speed-up the operations at the point of sales (such as: self-service kiosks)
