When a registrant registers a domain name identical or confusingly similar to a trademark or service mark to which the rights are held by someone, when the registrant has no right or legitimate interest in the domain name, or when the domain name has been registered and is being used in bad faith, a trademark holder can initiate mandatory administrative proceedings by filing a complaint with an approved dispute resolution service provider.
Administrative proceedings for the resolution of disputes under the UDRP will be governed by ICANN procedures and by any supplemental rules posted on the organization’s website.
