About Postcrossing
Founded in 2005, Postcrossing’s goal is to allow everyone to send and receive postcards from around the world! The idea is simple: for every postcard you send, you will receive one in return from a postcrosser somewhere in the world.
Receiving postcards from different places in the world (many of which you probably have never heard of!) can turn your mailbox into a box of surprises — and who wouldn't like that?

General information
As part of the 150th anniversary of the Universal Postal Union's celebrations, Postcrossing, the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP) and the UPU are excited to launch a major international event: “A MAXIMUM CARD FOR MAXIMUM WORLDWIDE FUN”
For 9 October – the UPU’s founding date, celebrated as World Post Day – the IB has decided to launch this ambitious new partnership with Postcrossing. This initiative will benefit the wider philatelic ecosystem, helping to achieve even greater visibility for philately and boost cooperation and development in this area.
